When using the Non-Touch 2-in-1 Thermometer, you should hold the thermometer one to two inches away from the body or surface you are scanning. There is never a need for your thermometer to touch the body or surface of an object.
Changing between the two temperatures of measurement is simple. Press the ?C/?F mode button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
To take the temperature of objects, you will need to change to surface mode. To turn on surface mode, press and hold the measure and memory/mute button at the same time for three seconds. When the body mode indicator is not lit, then you are in surface mode. To take temperature in surface mode, hold the thermometer one to two inches away from the surface you are scanning. Then, press the measure button to scan.

To power off the thermometer, hold the measure button for five seconds. In any case, the auto shutoff feature will power off the thermometer in 15 minutes
